With the blessings from His Holiness Sakya Trizin, this Sakya Centre in Kapit is named as Sakya Ösel Ling which means Sakya Pure Life. Sakya Ösel Ling follows the Sakya tradition of Sakyapa Order of Tibetan Buddhism.

Sakya Ösel Ling was officially registered on 19th March 2012. It is managed by a committee headed by Mr. Larry Sng Wei Shien.
